Loosing sleep that I allowed this contractor Bruce to screw me. No work is completed except one room which was total pain to do so. I've paid 11.5k (5-porch, 5- to finish 2nd set of 10 areas, 1.5 for the new wall) that has not completed. Misled over Sherman (Aleks will work only on my job) and it took a bit to get him to confess. He now wants a bribe to get him to keep his word. It is all sickening. But this is what I get: price, quality and speed. Low price means I sacrifice the rest, even though he promised me all three at the start. He used the word "scope" to me to say what he has presented to the fire marshall. I think that is a subterfuge to say he has yet a plan as promised. Basically he doesnt deliver. He defends himself with an offense about asking for extra $ for the "extra" work at Sherman while I'm talking about his failings there. He also asks about Plaza, that is a joke. I should use that as a carrot only.

I've got to find someone else. My cheapness is causing me problems and in the end I"m loosing.

Loosing sleep that I get little progress there. I'm pleased I have 4 new sets of tenants that all seem reasonable. Pleased that the mods to 34-2 Smith is moving along but concern about the load of people that would move in.

I just want to escape my hell and make believe these failing projects are not happening. This is not to mention the junk with Jackie as contractor and the no offer-Hemlock and one failed offer-Aspectuck and the one-probable failed and not ready for offer 8 N.Cove (or should it be 6).

What is it that makes a mess like this?

I feel that no progress is occurring with E.Main since the permit process has interferred with the already slow movement towards renting the rooms.

I feel the Sherman house is moving so slowly, I don't have the A/C heat nailed down, maybe in reality only 2 weeks of work is left yet may it may take 2 months to complete it.
